New Woodwind – Monday 5.15pm – 6.30pm

Our beginner woodwind group is for those who have reached their Grade 1 level.   Flutes, clarinets, oboes and bassoons take the first steps to playing in a group with Mr Kelly & Mrs Norton.    Rehearsals are on a Monday 5.15pm – 6.30pm.

Junior Concert Band – Tuesday 6.00pm – 7.45pm

Play your woodwind instrument with the brass and percussion in this wind band group.  For players of Grades 2-4 standard.  Mr Reid conducts this group every Tuesday during term time.

Concert Band – Monday 6.30pm  – 8.30pm

Like Junior Concert Band with even more challenge, for players Grades 4-6 standard.  Meet Mr Brailsford every Monday.

Concert Orchestra – Saturday 9.15am – 12.00pm


This group has the full range of orchestral instruments.  Woodwind, strings, brass and percussion join together  to tackle full orchestral works.  Mr Manley will take you through music from John Williams’ Jurassic Park to Rimsky-Korsakov’s Dance of the Tumblers.  Saturday mornings 9.15am-12.00.

Youth Wind Orchestra – Friday 6.30pm – 8.45pm

The ultimate challenge for wind players in a wind band.  Mr Brailsford introduces to you the wide range of repertoire and opens the door to new experiences.  Click here for information.

As you reach the higher grades it is probably time to consider auditioning for the Youth Orchestra under our new conductor Tim Morgan.  Click here for more information.

Flute Choir

The flute choir meet and rehearse occasionally for special events. The occasion pictured is one of our regular Friday lunchtime Art Gallery Concerts.
