Learning an instrument is the start of a journey.  As a parent or carer you can support learning in many ways.

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything”

Learning an instrument – Wolverhampton Music Education Hub works in the vast majority of schools in Wolverhampton teaching young people to learn an instrument.  You can speak to your school’s music teacher for more information, or Contact us for further information.

Joining a group  – Making music together in a group helps to give more purpose to playing an instrument.  Take a look at the ensembles on offer at Wolverhampton Music School.  Perhaps your child’s school has an ensemble to join.

Purchasing an instrument If your child has lessons at school with a teacher from Wolverhampton Music Service an instrument is loaned free of charge, however, many musicians wish to purchase their own instrument.  Contact us to find about more about purchasing an instrument in a cost effective way.

Practice is important and should be regular and focused.  Work is set by the teacher each week designed to improve technique and playing ability.
